At Russell Hall Construction, our story is one of hard work, dedication, and a commitment to excellence passed down through generations. It began in the 1960s with Willie Hall, whose journey from high school basketball star to skilled craftsman laid the foundation for our family’s tradition of quality construction.

The Beginning
Willie Hall
In the summer of 1964, Willie Hall started his construction business in Washington County, Texas, taking on small projects like roof installations and home repairs. By 1965, Willie built his first new home, earning a reputation for his commitment to customer satisfaction and meticulous craftsmanship. His entrepreneurial spirit and attention to detail quickly spread, establishing Hall Construction as a trusted name in home building and remodeling.
The Next Generation
Russell Hall
Russell Hall, Willie’s grandson, grew up immersed in this tradition of craftsmanship in Brenham, Texas. After graduating from Brenham High School in 2005, Russell pursued a BS in Industrial Technology - Construction Technology at Texas State University, where he developed leadership skills and honed his technical expertise.
During his college years, Russell worked in roles that expanded his knowledge of construction, including:

Engineering Experience:
Serving in the engineering department at TB Wood’s Incorporated™, one of the largest manufacturers of high-torque transmission couplings in the world. -
Leadership Roles:
Leading as President of the Associated General Contractor of America - Student Chapter and earning awards for leadership and service. -
Hands-On Craftsmanship:
Learning stone masonry under the guidance of his uncle, the late Jack Finke, who instilled in him the importance of patience, precision, and the timeless value of quality over speed.
One of Russell’s most memorable experiences was his summer internship in Madrid, Spain, where he worked with LC Architects on the rehabilitation of the Palacio de la Música. This project further cemented his dedication to precision, safety, and quality in construction.
After graduating in 2012, Russell joined Hensel Phelps Construction Co., where he gained valuable experience on complex, large-scale projects, including:

2400 Nueces:
A $64 million high-rise with over 300,000 square feet of residential and commercial space in Austin, Texas. -
USAF MQ-9 Maintenance Hangar:
A $20 million maintenance facility for unmanned aircraft at Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico.
These experiences deepened Russell’s expertise in construction technology, project management, and high-quality craftsmanship. Today, he continues the Hall family legacy, bringing a client-focused approach to building high-end custom homes, substantial remodels, and additions.
